here’s how we work…

Audio guestbooks are a new concept, we’d like to walk you through the process from start to finish so you know exactly what to expect.

The booking process

We try to make this as seamless as possible, and our booking process starts with filling out this form.

  1. Fill out the booking form here

  2. Your booking is confirmed once you’ve paid, we charge R3000 or R5000 per event depending on the package you select.

  3. We’ll finalise details around the date, time, address and delivery details

  4. If you’d like to use a custom greeting*, it needs to be shared a week before the event

*We allow all our clients to pre-record custom greeting messages (supplied as a voice message file) at no extra cost. This means that each time a guest uses our phone to record a message, they’ll hear your voice first thanking them for celebrating you. We’ll share tips and tricks for the perfect custom greeting upon booking.

DELIVERING the phone

We’ll deliver the phone via courier to the address you provide in the booking process the day before the event starts.

Whether we’re working directly with the host or an event planner, we need a human being to sign off on the delivery so unfortunately we can’t deliver to PO boxes.

A Leave A Message box will arrive with the following;

  • The phone

  • A courier bag - this will be important for collection

On THE DAY

Set up

The phone is very easy to set up, it’s three simple steps…

  1. Turn the phone on using the switch on the underside. The light will shine when it’s on.

  2. Raise the receiver and wait 30 seconds - you’ll hear a welcome tone. Put the receiver down.

  3. All set! Now each time you raise the receiver, the phone will record messages, and will end the recording when the receiver is put down.

Let your guests know

The most important part of setting up an audio guestbook is letting your guests know what it’s all about!

If you have an MC, we recommend asking them to point to the phone and explain briefly how it works, and that you’ll receive the recordings after the wedding.

Signage near the phone is super helpful - we suggest arranging a frame or stand with information along these lines;

Share a funny memory, a piece of advice or your heartfelt well-wishes - we can’t wait to keep these memories forever.

Remember to introduce yourself and put the phone down once you’re done recording.

1. Pick up the receiver and leave a message after the beep.

2. Share a memory or advice, whatever you like.

3. Don’t forget to mention your name!

NB: Signage isn’t included in our service, you’ll need to organise this separately.

Remember

  • You won’t need a power supply or wifi connection, the phone works as is!

  • The battery lasts up to 12 hours, and there is no limit to the amount of recordings.

  • The back cover of the phone must never be removed. The cover protects the battery and hardware. Unfortunately, if this is tampered with, your messages could be lost and we won’t be liable - please see our terms and conditions for more.

After the event

  • Once the event is over simply turn the phone off using the switch on the back.

  • Place the device back into the box and put the box into the courier bag we included in delivery. The courier bag will be pre-prepared with a weigh bill attached.

  • Handover the bag to our courier on collection.

  • Collection will typically happen the next day, or on Monday if an event is over the weekend.

YOUR RECORDINGS

We aim to hand over your recordings within seven days, but we usually send them sooner. They will be shared via email.
